Córdoba City

We are the strategic platform positioning Córdoba as an international hub for biotech innovation. More than a membership network, the Cluster de Biotecnología Córdoba (CBC) connects industry demand, scientific capabilities, technology infrastructure, specialized talent, public agencies, business chambers, investment funds and international markets. Our role is to close the gap between science, business and government: we accelerate collaborative projects, technology transfer, applied innovation and new business. We bring together more than 60 organizations (startups, SMEs, leading companies, universities and science and technology centers) to tackle the big challenges in human health, bio-agroindustry and sustainability. Our focus areas are human health, bio-agroindustry, animal biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, bioinformatics, the circular bioeconomy and converging technologies.

Córdoba is home to leading scientific institutions and a robust business base, accounting for 6.39% of Argentina's biotech GVA.
The cluster's flagship event. The 1st edition (2025) established Córdoba as a benchmark emerging ecosystem, with 100+ speakers and 130+ matchmaking and business meetings with international operators and funds. Building on that success, the 2nd edition is confirmed for September 10-11, 2026, at UNC.
A structured matchmaking program to bridge the gap between scientific research and industry. In 2025 it produced 3 collaborative projects now under negotiation (ARCOOP, Vikingo Foods and Gameet), plus a cross-cutting project to certify animal research facilities.
Initiatives co-funded and supported by the Agency together with Biotech.

Universities, technology centers, hospitals and private companies are working together to turn scientific research into biomedical diagnostic devices, with the goal of building a complete value chain in Córdoba and scaling these solutions.
The cluster established formal ties with ACCIÓ in Catalonia (Spain), Colombia's cluster ecosystem and Santa Catarina (Brazil), opening doors to new markets and knowledge transfer.
Two initiatives in development for 2026: a platform that maps the technology capabilities of local labs, and a network of liaison officers who spot technology opportunities in companies and connect them with universities.
