At a meeting held at the Agencia Competitividad Córdoba on Tuesday, the founding charter of the Cluster de Industrias Deportivas de Córdoba (Córdoba Sports Industries Cluster) was signed. Through it, public, private and academic stakeholders will coordinate efforts to make the sports industry more competitive through innovation, creativity, collective work and the exchange of experience.
The ceremony was led by Héctor Campana, president of the Agencia Córdoba Deportes; Fernando Sibilla, president of the Agencia Competitividad Córdoba; and Gonzalo Valenci, Undersecretary for Outreach at the Ministry of Science and Technology.
"Moving forward with initiatives like this helps us identify the many interconnected players in the sports world, who boost economic activity and professionalization in the sector," said Héctor Campana, president of the Agencia Córdoba Deportes.
The Cluster de Industrias Deportivas de Córdoba aims to raise productivity, increase capacity to innovate, cut costs and share resources, capabilities and knowledge across Córdoba's sports sector, focusing on three strategic pillars: clubs, sports tourism and sport tech, meaning technology applied to sport.

"This cluster has great potential and will surely energize the sector, because it brings together clubs, federations and associations, technology and events companies, and makers of apparel and sports equipment, among others, who share our view of the enormous range of opportunities it offers, especially in a province like Córdoba that is betting on sport, productive development and regional growth," said Agencia Competitividad Córdoba President Fernando Sibilla.
He also noted that the new cluster will be able to join the Programa Córdoba Cluster, launched last September by Governor Juan Schiaretti, which provides access to professional development and training for cluster managers, funding for technology and management projects, and connections with international networks.
Signing the founding charter were representatives of Córdoba's four biggest clubs (Talleres, Belgrano, Instituto and Racing), as well as Club Atenas, the Confederación de Deportes, the Federación de Pádel, the Asociación Cordobesa de Triatlón, the Asociación Cordobesa de Squash, Club Amigos del Deporte, Club Defensores de Juventud from Justiniano Posse, Bell Ville Club, Club Leones, the Municipality of General Cabrera, Universidad Católica de Córdoba and Universidad Siglo 21, and companies such as Aldeco Branding, Anabella Bozzana Movimiento y Salud, Bornix S.A, Futbell, Genik-Fábrica de Pelotas e Indumentaria, Grupo IFK Sports Indumentaria Deportiva, Liricus, Misión DxT, Moplex and Motmi SRL, among others.
