Mission, vision, value proposition and strategic plan for the Cluster AgTech
The project involves hiring a specialized external consulting firm to lead a participatory strategic planning process for the Cluster AgTech in Río Cuarto.
Summary
The Cluster AgTech, based in Río Cuarto and represented by Bioetanol Río Cuarto SA, carried out this foundational strategic planning project to build its initial roadmap (2024-2025) and align the shared vision of its 24 members on technology-based agriculture. The need was clear: the cluster had to put each player's views, challenges and potential on the table to establish Río Cuarto as a regional AgTech development hub.
The work was assigned to a specialized external consulting firm and organized around five sequential milestones over 3 months. Aligning expectations: briefing meeting between the consultants and the cluster's directors (Jul 2024). Validating the line-up: meeting between the consultants and the cluster manager to define the agenda, topics and logistics. In-person meeting with the core team: consulting sessions in Aug 2024 to begin capturing the views of the leadership group. Expanded in-person meeting with all cluster members: working sessions to keep building a shared vision, followed by a satisfaction survey. Closing meeting (Sep 2024): presentation of the final deliverable to all members.
The cluster's members are 24 organizations spanning private companies, public institutions, government agencies and academia, representing the main links in the AgTech value chain in Río Cuarto and the surrounding region. The expected impact was twofold: internal (member retention, a unified vision, alignment around common goals) and external (establishing Río Cuarto as a regional AgTech benchmark for the technology-based agriculture value chain).
Main objective
Design the foundational strategic plan of the Cluster AgTech in Río Cuarto, building its mission, vision and value proposition through a participatory process led by an external consulting firm that maps the individual views of the 24 members, identifies the challenges and potential of each player in the value chain, and consolidates a 2024-2025 roadmap with concrete actions that position Río Cuarto as a regional hub for technology-based agriculture.
