The evolution of Córdoba Cluster into a collaborative hub for Córdoba's knowledge economy
The project aims to consolidate Córdoba Cluster and evolve it into a strategic collaborative hub for knowledge economy sectors in the province of Córdoba.
Summary
Córdoba Cluster (formerly Córdoba Technology Cluster, with established institutional standing and expertise in tech-sector collaboration) carried out this strategic project to make the leap from a purely technology-focused cluster to a comprehensive knowledge economy cluster, bringing in adjacent sectors (software, tech services, creative industries, consulting, R&D) and redefining its institutional value proposition in line with international clustering standards.
The project was organized in two stages. Stage 1 — New institutional challenges toward the knowledge economy (Jan-May 2024): running focus group sessions with the different member sectors to identify their specific interests and needs; technical advice from strategic redesign specialists (business administration professionals, at CCE-CBA regulated fees); and international benchmarking through scouting of knowledge economy clusters in the region and around the world, culminating in mentoring sessions with at least one leading international organization. Stage 2 — Expansion and positioning (Apr-Sep 2024): at least two networking and matchmaking events to energize collaboration within the cluster's wider community and with other sectors of the province's business community.
The result was a new value proposition co-created with the incoming sectors, a map of international peer institutions for ongoing benchmarking, and events that showcased Córdoba Cluster's new identity. Direct beneficiaries are the knowledge economy companies and institutions that are members of Córdoba Cluster; indirect beneficiaries include non-member value chains and provincial governments, which benefit from a more consolidated ecosystem. 846,000 (ARS 2.9M non-repayable grant + ARS 2.38M cash co-funding + ARS 566K in kind).
Main objective
Expand Córdoba Cluster as a collaborative hub for knowledge economy sectors in the province of Córdoba, consolidating its transition from a technology cluster to a comprehensive knowledge cluster by co-creating a new value proposition with its member sectors, learning from leading international institutions and strengthening cross-sector collaboration through networking spaces.
