Joint effort to strengthen cultural and nature tourism in the province
On Friday, December 13, the Centro de Interpretación del Camino Real in Villa Tulumba hosted the launch of the Corredor Turístico-Cultural del Norte Cordobés (Northern Córdoba Tourism and Culture Corridor), a key event that opened a new chapter of collaboration between two regions central to the province's tourism: Norte Cordobés and Ansenuza.
The meeting, organized by Agencia Córdoba Turismo together with Agencia Córdoba Cultura and Agencia Competitividad Córdoba (Córdoba Competitiveness Agency), brought together local and national officials, including Darío Capitani, president of Agencia Córdoba Turismo, and Gustavo Santos, Regional Director for the Americas at the World Tourism Organization.
Villa Tulumba, recently named one of the UN's "Best Tourism Villages 2024," was the ideal setting to discuss the corridor's challenges and progress. Leaders from both regions exchanged ideas and planned joint strategies to make the most of the province's cultural and natural assets.
The participation of the Ansenuza region, whose members include Morteros tourism director Luciano Smut, reinforces the goal of integrating cultural and nature-based tourism into a broader regional offering. Collaboration between the two corridors aims not only to increase visitor numbers but also to promote the identity and heritage that make Córdoba a one-of-a-kind destination.
This joint work between Norte Cordobés and Ansenuza consolidates both regions as tourism hubs and positions Córdoba as a province committed to integration, conservation and sustainable tourism development.
