It was one of the projects recognized at the 8th International Public-Private Partnerships Forum, held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Córdoba was the only Argentine province represented at the event.
The program is a key case in the growth of Córdoba's productive model.
Córdoba took part in the 8th International Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Forum of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), where it presented its experience with the Programa Córdoba Cluster.
Running since 2023 and implemented by the Agencia Competitividad Córdoba together with the private and academic sectors, the initiative has 27 registered cluster initiatives and aims to increase the competitiveness of local companies and startups across all productive sectors.
It also includes professional development and training programs; funding for technology and management projects underway or in the pipeline; and connections that integrate provincial clusters into international networks.
Through the program, 45 executives and business leaders received training, 32 cluster managers completed the Diploma for Cluster Managers in partnership with the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, 9 scholarship recipients trained in Japan, and the 1st International Intercluster Meeting was held.
The province also joined ECLAC's cluster platform and co-invested with the private sector in 6 incubation projects.
The online presentation was given by Natalia Seiler, Executive Director of the Agencia Competitividad Córdoba (AC), who said the program "is an example of how public-private partnerships, based on the triple helix approach (government, academia and business), can drive development. Through modern public policy, we seek to generate wealth, added value, quality jobs and sustainable growth for Córdoba, positioning the province as a leader in innovation, collaboration and sustainable development."
8th International Public-Private Partnerships Forum
The three-day international event was held in Istanbul, Turkey, in a hybrid format with both in-person and online participation. It drew representatives from more than 100 countries, including Japan, Serbia, Portugal, India, France, Nepal, Mexico, Angola, Malawi, Somalia, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Brazil, Turkey, Canada and Slovenia.
Its goal was to address current and emerging challenges and opportunities at the global, national and municipal levels, focusing mainly on the critical nexus between climate resilience, economic recovery and reconstruction through sustainable PPPs and infrastructure financing.
The Forum examined how PPPs for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can tackle today's global problems, including through stakeholder engagement, gender equality and women's empowerment, equitable access to services, green and sustainable public procurement for PPPs, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
