Córdoba Cluster, formerly Córdoba Technology Cluster and an established institution with deep expertise in tech-sector collaboration, carried out this strategic project to make the leap from a purely technology cluster to a full knowledge-economy cluster. It brought in adjacent sectors (software, tech services, creative industries, consulting, R&D) and redefined its value proposition in line with international cluster development standards.
The project ran in two stages. Stage 1, new institutional challenges for the knowledge economy (January–May 2024): focus groups with the different member sectors to identify their specific interests and needs; technical advice from strategic redesign specialists (a business administration professional, at fees regulated by the CCE-CBA); and international peer learning, scouting knowledge-economy clusters in the region and around the world, culminating in mentoring sessions with at least one leading international organization. Stage 2, expansion and positioning (April–September 2024): at least two networking and matchmaking events to strengthen ties within the cluster's expanded community and with other sectors of the provincial economy.
The outcome was a new value proposition co-created with the incoming sectors, a map of international peer institutions for ongoing benchmarking, and events that showcased Córdoba Cluster's new identity. Direct beneficiaries are the knowledge-economy companies and institutions that are members of Córdoba Cluster; indirect beneficiaries include non-member value chains and provincial governments that benefit from a stronger ecosystem. 846,000 (ARS 2.9M non-refundable grant + ARS 2.38M cash co-funding + ARS 566K in kind).
Expand Córdoba Cluster into a collaborative hub for the knowledge-economy sectors of the Province of Córdoba, completing its transition from a technology cluster to a full knowledge cluster by co-creating a new value proposition with member sectors, learning from leading international peer institutions, and strengthening cross-sector ties through networking spaces.
We welcome proposals that strengthen collaboration and growth among Córdoba's clusters. Tell us your idea and we'll assess it together.
