The activity rate measures the percentage of the economically active population (people employed or actively seeking work) relative to the total reference population.
Between Q2 2022 and Q2 2023, the activity rate in Córdoba’s two main urban areas showed significant dynamism, increasing by nearly one percentage point in both Gran Córdoba and Gran Río Cuarto. In contrast, the national average across 31 urban areas fell by 0.4%, from 47.9% to 47.6%.

The unemployment rate measures the percentage of the unemployed population relative to the economically active population. In Córdoba Capital, the unemployment rate decreased through Q4 2022, but rose again during Q1 and Q2 2023.
