As part of the Programa Córdoba Cluster, which promotes the creation, consolidation and growth of clusters in the province of Córdoba through organized, structured efforts by the public, private and academic sectors to raise the productivity and competitiveness of local companies, the Agencia Competitividad is investing in human talent through training that strengthens the management and coordination of Córdoba's clusters.
To that end, together with Córdoba Acelera and the School of Economics at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, it is launching the second edition of the Diploma for Cluster Managers, a pioneering program in Argentina that was first offered in Córdoba last year with great success.
Speaking about the program, Fernando Sibilla, president of the Agencia Competitividad Córdoba, said the Agency is running this initiative with a clear, firm commitment to keep building the skills of those who coordinate the province's clusters. "Their specialization pays off in company competitiveness, strengthening their capacity to innovate and expand internationally, especially for SMEs," he explained.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to understand the dynamics of the industries linked to clusters; broker agreements among cluster members to develop shared strategies; plan, organize and manage collective action through cluster activities, initiatives and projects; and work with companies, public institutions and civil society.
The program has two stages: the first is an awareness seminar covering the key drivers of regional competitiveness and the range of collaborative structures, such as business chambers, consortia, networks and clusters, among other topics. It will also include project-selection workshops and the formation of work teams.
This first stage starts on November 2 and runs for five consecutive Thursdays (November 9, 16, 23 and 30) from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Graduate School of the School of Economics, with the possibility of some online classes.

The second stage will begin in mid-February next year and conclude in April 2024. It will focus on developing the project selected in the first stage, including building a project pipeline, theoretical content and mentoring sessions.
Tuition for the first stage is ARS 87,000. However, to encourage participation and ongoing training for cluster managers, the Agencia Competitividad offers a 50% scholarship and the UNC covers another 20%, so interested cluster managers will pay only ARS 26,100: an ARS 8,700 enrollment fee plus two monthly installments of ARS 8,700.
The Diploma adds to the work the Agencia Competitividad is already doing under the Programa Córdoba Cluster to strengthen business associations, adding value through cooperation and collaboration, which requires management and governance capacity.
